About the Name: The name "Maharajas and Snake Charmers" signifies many things. It signifies the two extremes of India. It signifies the age old stereotype about India in the western world. It also signifies, India's glorious past, its pathetic situation in the first 40 years of Independence and its journey to regain the past glory. The name also gives an idea of the nature of the blog as well. We may talk passionately about India’s march to super power status. We may talk about starving millions as well.

Lucky you! I can't sleep through one night straight without waking up with a start between 2am and 4am, because some bird landed at my window, or a dog had a bad dream, or someone parked their car, or some idiot decided to message/missed call me right in the middle of some much awaited dream (ahem.. cough).. My point is, you're soooo lucky that you aren't a light sleeper. I've been waking up with puffy eyes for more than a week now. Three cheers for the 9 hour sleep routine.. pass it on to me if possible :(
BTW!!!! I loved this prologue, one of the best I've read in a very long time.
